SPECIAL DELIVERY
One
of the problems experienced with phyto is the clumping of cells, making the particle
size too large for many animals. This is a problem inherent in long shelf life
products. Our standing order service allows you to receive Super Green directly
to your door every other week, sign up for this service and you will be giving
your tank regular doses of the next generation food.
Why
Super Green is different
It is a blend of different sizes of phyto.
Rather
than a monoculture offering only a single species, this allows a broader range
of creatures to utilise the cells.Super Green has a high cell density This means
you need less to feed your tank.
Super Green is fortified
with additional food elements
From our farming work and 5 years of feeding
phyto plankton we can now offer an enhanced formulation that provides nutrition
to a broader range of life.
Live Product
In
an emergency dead plankton will help but if you want the full benefit, then a
live product is vastly superior.

Service
One of the drawbacks of many of the products on the shelf, is
that the regular settlement of cells, leads to clumping making the cells too large
for many animals to utilise. This becomes progressively worse over time, which
is why we now offer Super Green on a new standing order basis. Simply subscribe
to this service and a bottle of fresh Super Green will be mailed to you every
other Wednesday. This will provide you with fresh supplies of the product rather
than a product that has been sat on the shelf for too long. Subscribers receive
a special discount over the normal retail price.
Feeding
Super Green
Super Green is available in 250ml 500ml 1tr bottles dependent
on your stocking density and can be added to aquariums in a number of ways. Several
of these methods are described below.
Slackers method
Probably
the way most of us dose additives to the aquarium shake the bottle and pour in
a measured or not amount of the product. This is not as bad as it seems as it
is low on time and at least you are bothering to make the effort to feed the animals
in the tank. The main drawback with this system is the food does not stay very
long in the water column being removed by filters and skimmers.
Middle
Ground Method.
A more practical and not too demanding approach is to
shut off the skimmers for a couple of hours and dose the phyto directly to the
tank, we normally recommend about 1 hour before lights out. So those animals that
feed only at night can also benefit. A slight improvement on this is to mix the
phyto with a litre of tank water and drip-feed the product into the tank over
a couple of hours. This will allow for a longer feeding period.
